MinerBlock: The Ultimate Browser Extension to Block Cryptocurrency Miners

Are you tired of your computer's performance being slowed down by cryptocurrency miners? Look no further than MinerBlock, the efficient browser extension designed to block browser-based cryptocurrency miners across the web. With a total rating of 4.48 out of 5 based on user reviews, MinerBlock is a reliable and effective solution for keeping your system running smoothly.

How Does MinerBlock Work?

MinerBlock utilizes two different approaches to block miners and protect your browsing experience. The first approach involves blocking requests and scripts loaded from a blacklist, similar to traditional ad-blockers. This ensures that known mining scripts are prevented from running on your browser.

The second approach employed by MinerBlock is even more efficient in combating cryptojacking. It actively detects potential mining behavior within loaded scripts and immediately terminates them. This means that not only inline scripts are blocked, but also any miners attempting to run through proxies.

Constant Updates and Bug Fixes

MinerBlock stands out from other mining blockers with its commitment to regular updates and bug fixes. The extension's changelog showcases its dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the mining landscape. Updates include the addition of new Coinhive clone signatures, filters list enhancements, bug fixes, and improvements to the user interface.

A User-Friendly Experience

MinerBlock prioritizes user satisfaction by providing a user-friendly experience. The extension's well-designed interface allows for easy navigation and customization. Users can access various options to tailor the blocking settings according to their preferences. Additionally, MinerBlock offers reliable technical support, ensuring that users receive assistance whenever needed.

Extensive Functionality and Comprehensive Blocking

MinerBlock boasts robust functionality that extends beyond basic blocking. The extension's code is designed to handle both static and dynamic blocking, providing comprehensive protection against mining scripts. This versatility, combined with its small file size, makes MinerBlock an excellent choice for users concerned about their system's performance.

Enhancing Security with Whitelist and User-Defined Filters

MinerBlock goes the extra mile to enhance your browsing security. The extension includes a whitelist feature that allows you to add trusted websites or scripts that you want to exempt from blocking. This feature ensures that legitimate mining activities aren't disrupted while still safeguarding your system from unauthorized miners.

Furthermore, MinerBlock empowers users by providing the option to define their own filters. This feature enables you to customize the extension's blocking behavior according to your specific needs and preferences.

Protecting Your Browsing Experience

With the rise of cryptocurrency and the increased prevalence of cryptojacking, it is essential to take proactive measures to protect your browsing experience. MinerBlock is a reliable and efficient browser extension that blocks cryptocurrency miners, safeguarding your system's performance and protecting your privacy.

Don't let cryptojacking slow down your computer. Install MinerBlock today and enjoy a seamless and secure browsing experience while taking control of your system's resources.

Bad aproach towards blocking miners (name-based). It blocks anything with miner.js in it's content. Which is horrible for hundreds of thousands of webstores running on magento and using Vertex Address validation (nearly every Magento store). The address validation uses a javascript named difference-determiner.js ; and because it ends in miner.js it will be blocked by this addon. Disabling Magento check-out pages.

thank goodness for this. cryptocurrency and NFTs are a scam that take up a ridiculous amount of energy for no benefit.

I use this extension all the time but I don't think I came across any mining website, just out of curiosity, can add you a test website in the description section so users can test the extension in action to be sure about its functionality. I rate this extension 5 stars: 1st star for the regular updates, 2nd star for the ui design 3rd star for the options 4th star for the tech support 5th star for functionality of the code e.g. static/dynamic blocking and its small size.

I tried 4 extensions before this one and all of them failed where minerBlock succeeded. Even though this website is upfront about using your CPU, you might find it a good testing tool when proving if your blocker is working: https://uptobox.com/dy8wlphgjfp0 -- does what it says and uses 20% of the CPU, which you can confirm in the Task Manager under Details: chrome.exe

Webpages like wikipedia and imdb are freezing for at least 30-60 seconds when this extension is enabled.

Doesn't work on pirate bay. One of the comment said it doesn't block coinhive since the users opt in voluntarily but pirate bay doesn't have any option to opt out of it nor does it inform the users of mining out of its visitors' cpu. Very disappointing.
